Brown County RISE

This project leverages trusted community resource centers and an established process to continue to build trust, have open communication and conversation about the Covid-19 vaccine as well as other health concerns within the Black, African American, Somali, and refugee populations.
Wello is partnering with We All Rise African American Resource Center and COMSA as community partners and Prevea as our healthcare partner for this project.
This project aims to build a local framework to address health and well-being of the whole individual and community centered on trust and relationships that results in vaccinations.
Community Well-being Navigators will be on-site to answer questions, provide additional health resources, and help build relationships during the clinics. We are excited to welcome Afnan Abdullah as our navigator!
This project is funded by the RISE Fund Coalition which includes the Public Health Institute.
Said Hassan, COMSA Executive Director, discusses the RISE collaborative project.
